Tilt Table: Why Use It?
Your doctor may suggest a tilt table test to try to induce your symptoms—such as lightheadedness, dizziness, or fainting—while keeping an eye on your blood pressure and heart rate.
Your nervous system manages your blood pressure and heart rate. The tilt table test may cause a brief drop in your blood pressure and heart rate when you are brought to an upright position. As a result, less blood reaches your brain, which could make you faint.
A total of 58 physiotherapists (67.4%) used the tilt table. Tilt table treatment was most frequently included to improve lower limb strength (81%), prevent muscle contractures (86%), facilitate weight bearing (94.8% of those who tilt), and raise arousal by 70%.
Tilt Table Pak Made Use Cautions:
In general, tilt table tests are safe, and problems are infrequent. However, it carries some risk, just like any medical procedure.
Among the possible issues are:
• after fainting, nausea, and vomiting
• Weakness lasting up to several hours.
• extended hypotension following the test
These issues typically disappear when the table is returned to a horizontal position.
